Terms of Service
Last updated September 23, 2026
These terms cover rinqo.ai, the demo line, and the Rinqo service a restaurant signs up for. They are written to be read, not skimmed, and they say only what we do.
1. What Rinqo is
Rinqo is an automated phone host for restaurants. It answers calls on your restaurant's line around the clock, takes reservations, takeout orders and questions, and passes what it captures to you by text and in your dashboard. It runs on a number we provide or on your existing number forwarded to it.
"You" in these terms is the restaurant that opens the account. "We" is Rinqo. Starting a pilot or a paid plan means you agree to what is written here.
2. Your part
You keep your menu, hours, prices and booking rules accurate, because the agent says what it has been given. You decide what it may and may not do on your line. You review what it captures the way you would with a new member of staff, especially in the first weeks. You are responsible for how the service is used with your own customers.
3. Calls are recorded
To run the service, calls on your line are recorded and transcribed. That is how an order reaches your kitchen as text, how a booking is checked, and how we find and fix mistakes.
New Jersey and New York allow a call to be recorded with the consent of one party to it, and on your line that party is Rinqo acting for you. Laws differ elsewhere, and some states require every caller to be told. You are responsible for any notice your callers must hear where you operate. If you ask, we set the agent's greeting to say that the call is recorded.
4. Your data, and what we keep
Your menu, hours and rules, and the reservations, orders, messages and customer details captured for you, are yours. You can export them or ask us to delete them at any time.
Recordings, transcripts and captured details are kept to run and improve the service while your account is active, and deleted within 30 days of closing it, unless the law requires otherwise. We never sell data. The providers that process it for us, the voice platform, the telephony carrier, hosting, the database and email, are listed in the privacy policy and act only on our instructions.
5. Payments and card numbers
Rinqo never takes a card number on a call and has nowhere to store one. A pickup order is paid at your counter. When an order is paid ahead, the caller receives a payment link by text and pays on their own phone; the card details go to the payment processor and never reach Rinqo or your phone line. The processor's fees are between you and the processor, and Rinqo takes no commission on orders.
6. Fees and cancelling
Plans are priced per location and billed monthly in advance, with the minutes included and the per-minute rate over that shown on the pricing page when you signed up. We give 30 days' notice of any price change. Taxes are added where they apply.
You can cancel at any time and the service runs to the end of the month already paid. If Rinqo is not right for you, tell us within 30 days of your first payment and we refund it.
7. What the service is not
Rinqo is software, and it can mishear or misunderstand a caller. Check bookings and orders as you would with any new hire. It is not for emergency calls. We aim to keep your line answered every hour of every day, but carriers and providers have outages, and we cannot promise uninterrupted service.
8. Acceptable use
Use the service lawfully, for your own restaurant. Do not use it to deceive or harass callers, do not resell it, and do not try to make the agent act outside the rules you and we have set for it.
9. Liability
To the extent the law allows, our total liability to you for anything arising from the service is limited to the fees you paid in the three months before the claim. Neither of us is liable to the other for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost revenue or lost bookings.
10. Changes, law and contact
We may update these terms. If a change matters to you, we email you 30 days before it takes effect. These terms are governed by the law of New Jersey, and disputes are heard there. Questions go to support@rinqo.ai.
Security, in plain terms
What is true of the system today. Nothing below describes a plan.
- Card numbers. There is no card field anywhere in Rinqo, and the agent refuses a card number read aloud on a call. Payments, where they happen, go through a payment link handled by the processor.
- Sign-in. The dashboard signs in with a password or an emailed one-time code, with two-factor authentication on top. Rinqo staff must present a second factor to reach the admin side.
- One restaurant cannot see another. Every restaurant's records are separated by rules enforced in the database itself, not only in the application, and those rules are tested.
- Encryption. Everything travels over HTTPS, and browsers are told to use nothing else. Our providers encrypt stored data at rest.
- Recording. Calls on the demo line are recorded and kept so we can review how the agent performs. Calls on a customer's line are handled as section 3 of the terms describes.
- Who has access. Rinqo is built and run by its founder. There is no wider team with access to your data today, and we will say so here when that changes.
- Telling us about a problem. If you find a security issue, email support@rinqo.ai and we will reply within two working days.
